Entrepreneur Simon Mohapi shares his experiences with other small business owners

The Business Place Kliptown held a networking session with Standard Bank at the bank’s Bara Branch on 27 October 2010. This well-attended event saw 30 entrepreneurs listen to the motivating story of Simon Mohapi who runs Mohapi Financial Services, a small business providing audit services, business plans and accounting support to private companies. 

He told his story about the challenges he faced and how he overcame them, relating particularly to accessing finance and conducting his daily business activities.

“These sessions are helpful in that we get to hear directly from entrepreneurs what their challenges are. It means we can ensure we keep providing relevant solutions to our clients. For instance we might feel that funding is a challenge to them, but some of them said they started without funding and they are doing well so they no longer need that funding.”
